WE HAVE PUPPIES AGAIN
Samantha Jane came to us from Isle of Wight. She arrived on Monday afternoon, and had her puppies Tuesday night. Samantha Jane had 10 puppies (6 girls and 4 boys). Mama and babies are doing well. SJ was a perfect passenger on the drive over. Puppies and Samatha will be available for adoption at the beginning of May.
Key to symbols:
Housetrained
These dogs are reported to be housetrained either by surrendering owners or by their foster families. This is not a guarantee, but just an indication that they have done well in this regard according to those sources. A housetrained dog may soil a new home as it adjusts to its new environment, as well.
|

Special Needs
These dogs have special issues, ranging from social (very shy dogs) to medical (seizures, "tripod" dogs, and / or illnesses). None of these issues are such that the dog is considered unadoptable - but we want you to be aware of any issues of which we are aware, with our estimation of costs, etc. associated with the animal's care after you adopt him or her.
|

Neutered / Spayed
This animal has been surgically sterilized while in BTTR's care, or was previously sterilized. ALL of our dogs must be altered prior to adoption unless medically inadvisable.
|

No Small Children
These are not dogs with aggession issues, but rather dogs that demonstrate fear or avoidance of small children (toddlers) or who are too rambunctious to interact with them.
We will NOT knowingly adopt out an aggressive dog. |

Okay with Cats
These dogs have demonstrated an ability to get along with cats. Most of our dogs arrive with no "cat" history, but some dogs surrendered by their owners have lived with cats. Other dogs marked with this icon live with cats in their foster homes. We will make introductions with cats for any of our dogs. Many of our dogs with no "cat history" have gotten along fine with cats in their adoptive homes. |

No Other Dogs
These dogs have demonstrated either an inability to get along with other dogs or at least a marked preference for being the only dog in the home. Those dogs marked with this icon generally aren't fighting our other dogs -- but they just "tolerate" the other dogs at the club. Therefore, we believe any dog with this icon would be happiest as your one and only doggy child.
